With the emergence of several technological innovations, companies are increasingly integrated with IoT devices (Internet of Things), which allows the interconnection between the physical and virtual worlds. Aiming to obtain a real time monitoring of the production of an industrial wood cables manual sander and a better production control, because it is necessary to count the production quantity for each machine, in this article it was developed an embedded system using the IoT Esp8266 device implemented with the Blynk platform, which is a platform developed for prototyping, Blynk is a platform developed for prototyping, deployment and remote management of electronic devices in IoT and a reflective sensor, capable of counting the wood cables of an industrial manual sander, and demonstrate the values obtained from the count through a display on the factory floor and an interface via application, which is able to remotely monitor the production, using simpler materials and more economical cost benefits. In the current market there are devices that have the function of counting or totalizing processes, but their applications are not included in Industry 4.0. For the manufacturing stage of the device, tests were initially made on the reflective sensor and the parameters for its operation were dimensioned. The printed circuit board was made using a CNC, and the sensor support was modeled in a CAD program and printed in a 3D printer. The methodology used was Double Diamond, which is basically based on exploring the problem, finding the most viable solution and applying it. It was observed that the developed and implemented system was efficient in its performance and its applicability and is able to bring an improvement in the industrial production process, thus verifying possible bottlenecks and identifying them in a faster and more efficient way.
